What a wild weekend. Saturday we set up for the Southern Bridal Show and ended up riding out the fringe of the downtown tornado at the Fairgrounds. Scary was an understatement. Sunday the weather was picture perfect, but our thoughts and prayers were and continue to be with those affected by this disaster.
The Southern Bridal Show & Expo was a BIG success and we are already booking wonderful new clients. Thanks to the always fabulous "Forever Bridal" gang and everyone who came to the show. We are looking forward to seeing several of you again over the next few weeks. Be watching your inbox! ;c )

Very cool! Many thanks to our wonderful brides and couples from the past year or two for nominating us and sharing the experiences they've had with us. Yeah awards are awards, but it's nice to be recognized anytime in an industry that is separated sometimes by little differences. We absolutely believe it is a privilege to create incredible memories that will be cherished for a lifetime by our clients. Thanks again to all of our past clients and new friends for their support. :c)

The WeddingWire Bride's Choice Awards ™ recognizes the top local wedding professionals from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the organization, the WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Awards™ are determined by recent reviews and extensive surveys from over 750,000 WeddingWire newlyweds.
2011 is off to a great start. We have many new clients that we look forward to working with, lots of exciting things on the horizon for this year and once again our photography is featured in the new issue of Southern Bride & Groom magazine. Southern Bride & Groom is one of the premiere wedding magazines in NC and is a bride to be, and local photographer's, best friend. :c ) http://www.southernbrideandgroom.com

Lisa and Vincent are a really fun couple and they chose the lovely "Chateau Bellevie" for their intimate wedding. Chateau Bellevie is located next to Highgrove in Fuquay and offers an old world charm and ambiance that is quite special. Marie and Roxana will see to it that your wedding is everything you desire and more. http://www.chateaubellevie.com/
The afternoon started with the girls arriving in a classic car. Those images were a lot of fun and really fit the mood. After pictures with the beautiful grounds and setting sun as a backdrop, we moved inside for the "i do's". Their ceremony included laughter and a very special moment when the unity candle was lit. After the family and group shots, we slipped off for a few minutes with just the bride & groom.
Donna at "Flowers On Broad Street" http://www.flowersonbroadstreet.com/ created her gorgeous floral arrangements and special touches, Peter with "Island Sounds" http://www.islandsound.net/ provided the rockin' entertainment and Jennifer at "Ambrosia Cakes" http://www.ambrosiacakecreations.com created another of her beautiful and scrumptious cakes.

Lauren and Andrew said their "I do's" this past fall at The State Club. It was the 2nd of TWO weddings for her family this year, as we also photographed Lauren's sister's June wedding. Being the photographers for both weddings really allowed us to get to know the family and what a wonderful family they are.
Lauren and the girls had fun putting the finishing touches on, along with a little wine & cheese, then it was off to the beautiful staircase for a few shots before we headed outside to enjoy the fall weather. Everyone arrived on time and we had some wonderful family moments before we finished with these images.
Once Lauren was hid away, Andrew and the guys were ready to roll. We went outside for some shots and a few laughs. After photographing Andrew's family it was time to get a few quick shots of the ballroom before the ceremony. The State Club is a GORGEOUS venue. Wendy Dorman and her staff do a first class job and were an enormous help to us and everyone. http://www.thestateclub.org
The beautiful arrangements and floral touches were created by JoLynn at Victorian Seasons. http://victorianseasons.com
The ceremony was outside on the patio and was surrounded by beautiful fall colors. After the ceremony we started chasing the light until we had no more and then it was off to the ballroom for an elegant and lively reception. The guests enjoyed oysters, shrimp and other treats atop the ice sculptures and then it was time for the fabulous dinner.
Once some of the traditional reception events were completed the dance floor opened up and boy did the guests take to it. The music and hosting duties belonged to Kevin Majoros with KM DJ Company. Kevin had these folks doing things they probably didn't even know they could do and kept the party going all night long. http://www.kmdjcompany.com
The wonderful cake was a Sweet Memories creation http://www.sweetmemoriesbakery.com and transportation was provided by Classy Transportation http://www.classytransportation.com .
Thanks Lauren, Andrew and your families for allowing us to be such a big part of your lives this past year. Our best to you all!

Weddings are always fabulous at Highgrove and this September afternoon was another grand event by the lake.
Jeremy and Amanda had been looking forward to their big day for months. Everything came together as planned, the weather was perfect and with all of the details, colors and creations this Fall wedding was simply gorgeous.
After a joyous ceremony, and some photography time, the guests moved from the cocktails and chef's creations to the reception and wonderful meal as only Highgrove can do.
The evening ended with a lively sparkler send-off and a limo into the night. Wonderful couple. Wonderful people. Thanks guys.

On a beautiful Fall afternoon, Beth and Ryan said "i do" by the lily pads at Duke Gardens. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was their theme song and her vintage dress was simply gorgeous.
We wish you both the very best and Ryan when you land the gig with Pixar, do keep me in mind. ;c )
