Mallory and Joe's fabulous wedding at Magnolia Manor

  • Published June 3rd, 2011 by

Last Saturday, May 28, we photographed Mallory and Joe's spectacular wedding at Magnolia Manor.  We drove through 30-45 minutes of heavy rain, with some of the biggest rain drops we have ever seen, to get there.  As we got close I thought no way the wedding would be dry, but within 2 miles or so it just stopped and the weather was perfect from then on.

Magnolia Manor includes many acres of beautiful rolling farm land with gorgeous landscapes and true southern charm.  Sheila and Larry really create an atmosphere that is like coming home and the new Carriage House expansion adds another great space to their fabulous B&B.  http://www.magnoliamanorbnb.com/

Mallory and Joe are an easy going, fun loving couple and their love for each other was perfection to capture.  The wedding party was energetic and fun as well and all of their families made the formals of the day a real pleasure.  Thanks to all who smiled for the camera, you're all hired!  ;c)

Liz and Travis say "i do" at Highgrove in Fuquay-Varina, NC

Spring is simply wonderful in North Carolina and weddings at Highgrove are especially splendid this time of year.

Liz and Travis were married on a beautiful Spring Saturday afternoon and the weather could not have been more perfect.  Highgrove has recently opened its new Garden Ballroom and in a word, FABULOUS!!  New renovations and upgrades throughout the property take this already wonderful location to the next level and the staff at Highgrove is always first rate.  http://www.highgrove-nc.com/

We have photographed hundreds of weddings, but Liz and Travis will always be one of our most favorite couples.  We connected from day one.  Liz offered more than once to tell prospective brides about us at a future bridal show, before we had even taken the first wedding day photo!  I told her she has to at least wait until we earn our keep.  ;c )

Ross Merle was the man creating all the excitement and handling the entertainment on this very special evening.  From the time the guests arrived until the last one loaded the bus for downtown Raleigh this was a non-stop party.  Wait until you see the shot of Ross and tell me the man wasn't working the room!  Ross is as good as they get.  End of story!!  http://www.justmusicdj.com/

Flowers On Broad Street created the beautiful arrangements, some very special sweet treats were created by the Grandmother of the bride and I'm sure everyone who went downtown would like to thank Mayor Meeker for allowing them control of the city until the wee hours of the morning.  Absolutely spectacular wedding Liz and Travis.  Thank you both so much for letting us be an important part of your most important day.  :c )

Southern Bridal Show

What a wild weekend.  Saturday we set up for the Southern Bridal Show and ended up riding out the fringe of the downtown tornado at the Fairgrounds.  Scary was an understatement.  Sunday the weather was picture perfect, but our thoughts and prayers were and continue to be with those affected by this disaster.

The Southern Bridal Show & Expo was a BIG success and we are already booking wonderful new clients.  Thanks to the always fabulous "Forever Bridal" gang and everyone who came to the show.  We are looking forward to seeing several of you again over the next few weeks.  Be watching your inbox!  ;c )

We absolutely believe it is a privilege to create incredible memories that will be cherished for a lifetime by our clients. Thanks again to all of our past clients and new friends for their support. :c)

Lisa and Vincent at Chateau Bellevie

Lisa and Vincent are a really fun couple and they chose the lovely "Chateau Bellevie" for their intimate wedding. Chateau Bellevie is located next to Highgrove in Fuquay and offers an old world charm and ambiance that is quite special. Marie and Roxana will see to it that your wedding is everything you desire and more. http://www.chateaubellevie.com/

The afternoon started with the girls arriving in a classic car. Those images were a lot of fun and really fit the mood. After pictures with the beautiful grounds and setting sun as a backdrop, we moved inside for the "i do's". Their ceremony included laughter and a very special moment when the unity candle was lit. After the family and group shots, we slipped off for a few minutes with just the bride & groom.

Donna at "Flowers On Broad Street" http://www.flowersonbroadstreet.com/ created her gorgeous floral arrangements and special touches, Peter with "Island Sounds" http://www.islandsound.net/ provided the rockin' entertainment and Jennifer at "Ambrosia Cakes" http://www.ambrosiacakecreations.com  created another of her beautiful and scrumptious cakes.

Lauren and Andrew at The State Club

Lauren and Andrew said their "I do's" this past fall at The State Club. It was the 2nd of TWO weddings for her family this year, as we also photographed Lauren's sister's June wedding. Being the photographers for both weddings really allowed us to get to know the family and what a wonderful family they are.

Lauren and the girls had fun putting the finishing touches on, along with a little wine & cheese, then it was off to the beautiful staircase for a few shots before we headed outside to enjoy the fall weather. Everyone arrived on time and we had some wonderful family moments before we finished with these images.

Once Lauren was hid away, Andrew and the guys were ready to roll. We went outside for some shots and a few laughs. After photographing Andrew's family it was time to get a few quick shots of the ballroom before the ceremony. The State Club is a GORGEOUS venue. Wendy Dorman and her staff do a first class job and were an enormous help to us and everyone. http://www.thestateclub.org

The beautiful arrangements and floral touches were created by JoLynn at Victorian Seasons. http://victorianseasons.com

The ceremony was outside on the patio and was surrounded by beautiful fall colors. After the ceremony we started chasing the light until we had no more and then it was off to the ballroom for an elegant and lively reception. The guests enjoyed oysters, shrimp and other treats atop the ice sculptures and then it was time for the fabulous dinner.

Once some of the traditional reception events were completed the dance floor opened up and boy did the guests take to it. The music and hosting duties belonged to Kevin Majoros with KM DJ Company. Kevin had these folks doing things they probably didn't even know they could do and kept the party going all night long. http://www.kmdjcompany.com

The wonderful cake was a Sweet Memories creation http://www.sweetmemoriesbakery.com and transportation was provided by Classy Transportation http://www.classytransportation.com .

Thanks Lauren, Andrew and your families for allowing us to be such a big part of your lives this past year. Our best to you all!
